The Safe Start-Up was founded by Tom Shugg and Sam Dean. They are real people who take business very seriously, look them up on LinkedIn! They are both the Co-Founders and Directors of Meg Languages which was a company they started 12 years ago. Meg Languages continues to go from strength to strength having been boot-strapped by Tom and Sam to becoming a multi-million dollar Ed Tech business.

Their inspiration for founding The Safe Start Up stemmed from conversations that have occurred many times throughout the years with their network that revolved around people wanting to start a business but believing it was too high risk to even try.

There are high risk paths to starting a business but there are also low risk paths to starting a business and to give everyone the greatest chance of being a successful business owner, Sam and Tom wanted to focus on the latter.
